Marine Science


The Marine Science Study Program (MSSP) vision is to become a leading institution in Indonesia coastal and marine education, conservation and resource exploration. To achieve this vision, the study program provides coastal and marine biological resource exploration and conservation education, research, science and technology development and community outreach. The MSSP fully realizes the importance of producing high-quality graduates with scientific curiosity, a professional level of knowledge, and a broad range of employable skills in marine survey and monitoring, marine conservation, and the rehabilitation of marine resources and ecosystems. In addition, graduates are expected (and provided with opportunities) to develop skills in logical and critical thinking, communication, individual and teamwork, and adaptation to the marine and other working environments. In addition to this solid knowledge and skill base, it is the passion of the MSSP to produce graduates who will become responsible citizens.
